This album is a culmination of songs, arrangements, lyrics, and ideas that exemplify my musical journey and experiences. From the Delta to the mountains, from the city to the country, these songs represent my growth as a musician and a person. This journey was not taken alone, and so I would like to thank: Kris Bauman for teaching me not only how to play, but how to learn. Nowa Corsby at Randolin Music, for providing me with a place to work on my craft and learn more about the tools every day. Micah Plante of Plante Sustainable Instruments for the awesome custom made soundhole pickup. The good folks at The Gnomehaus for recording, mixing, and mastering this project, and endeavoring to make sure it sounds as good as it possibly can. Carrie Cook for the beautiful artwork. My family and roommates over the years for tolerating the scales, repeated tunes, and mistakes that would come from my bedroom as I practiced. And most importantly, my mother, who constantly encouraged and facilitated the idea that I could make a living out of playing mandolin. This is all really for her.
